Our Story
The Story behind The Final Detail
The Final Detail was born from a love of creating memorable experiences — and from experiencing first-hand just how much goes into bringing a wedding together.
I’ve spent years working in hospitality and operations, managing venues, teams and events where the best experiences often look effortless to the people enjoying them. Behind the scenes, though, there are timings to manage, people to coordinate, problems to solve and hundreds of little details that need to fall into place.
Then came my own wedding.
I planned our wedding reception in Winchester while living and working in Miami, thousands of miles away. Between working full-time and organising suppliers, flowers, beauty, outfits, timings and all the other decisions that come with a wedding, I learnt just how much there is to think about.
But what surprised me most was what happened once everything was supposedly “planned.”
As the wedding got closer, there was still so much to coordinate. Who was confirming everything with the suppliers? Who was making sure everyone knew where they needed to be? Who was checking the room looked the way we'd imagined? Who would answer all those little questions on the morning when I was supposed to be getting ready?
And that’s when the idea for The Final Detail really began.
I wanted to create the kind of service I could see the value of myself: someone who steps in when the planning is almost finished, learns the wedding you’ve spent months creating and takes responsibility for bringing all of those plans together.
Someone behind the scenes keeping an eye on the timings, talking to suppliers, solving the little problems and making sure you’re not the person everyone comes to with questions.
Because by the time your wedding day arrives, you shouldn’t still be the person organising it.
You should just get to be the person getting married.
From final preparations to the final dance, I’ll take care of every final detail.
